The Allied Health Jobs Australia Story

Australia faces a shortfall of more than 200,000 full-time health care workers by 2050 as demand doubles within a generation, with a predicted gap in the workforce emerging earlier than expected as a result of the pandemic.

To help solve this issue and encourage more overseas healthcare professionals to come work and live here, Allied Health Jobs Australia is a new concept that combines recruitment with migration services, and is redefining the process of making the move to a new country.

Internationally recognised for our natural wonders, world class working conditions, high paying rates, and quality of life, it’s not surprising that the Land Down Under is often high on the list for people looking to move abroad. Despite the benefits, many expats wanting to relocate to Australia traditionally find the process to be expensive and riddled with red tape.

However, if you already have a job offer or an employment contract in this country, the resettling process can be surprisingly straightforward. Traditionally, migrants would need to source a job, and then look at their options to start the migration process. At AHJA, we’re one of the first to combine these two processes into a service designed to attract more allied health care professionals to Australia.

About Our Founders

Justin Luke is no stranger to the allied health space, and has been happily married to an occupational therapist for over twenty five years. While this in its own right brings a unique perspective to what the healthcare industry involves, Justin also happens to have over a decade of experience in recruitment. As an advocate for the Australian lifestyle, it was almost inevitable that he began to specialise in recruiting overseas migrants to help solve the nation’s allied health skills shortage three years ago.

As a part of his work in this space, Justin began to work closely with international migration specialist, Amanda Haylock. As the Principal Migration Agent for Haylock Migration, Amanda is also registered with MARA (Migration Agent Registration Number 0746292) and is a member of the Migration Institute of Australia and the Migration Alliance.

By combining their unique skill sets, Justin and Amanda quickly realised that their unique backgrounds put them in a highly specialised position to encourage more people to come to Australia and aid our allied health care industry. In fact, AHJA has already placed twenty different people and their families all over Australia in positions including occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychology and more.

What We Do

Imagine a service that helps you take care of the whole process of taking the plunge to live and work overseas. From deciding where to live, securing employment, and helping you to navigate the relevant migration approvals, at Allied Health Jobs Australia, these are at the core of what we do best.

Unlike migration agents who only help with the migration process, or recruitment agents who only take care of job placement, AHJA has consciously niched down into allied health as our area of expertise. In fact, it’s the combined knowledge of Justin and Amanda that is our major point of difference.

Being able to work with individuals or families who are looking to immigrate to Australia and to understand what their version of the 'dream' is, allows Justin to recommend possible locations, before sourcing potential employment opportunities. This way, migrants can have the confidence to know that they’re stepping into a role that fits their background, and a location that fits their ideal future.

Once a suitable job is secure, Amanda helps migrants start the documentation process to ensure that they’re legally able to call Australia home without any nasty surprises further down the track. What’s more, is that our clients also have access to join our private Facebook group, which includes members that are also a part of the allied health care industry, and have either already made the move, or are considering doing so. From finding accommodation, to getting a car and even options for education, this community is on standby 24/7 to answer any questions you may have and help guide you.

Fundamentally, becoming an AHJA client doesn’t mean that the services stop once your visas are approved. For people who have made it to the migration application process, our 100% success rate means that we’re just as invested in your journey as you are, and want to ensure that your version of the ‘Great Australian Dream’ lives on as a long term way of life.

As a qualified allied health care professional, you’re in demand - and Australia wants you. If you’ve ever found yourself daydreaming about what a future in the Land Down Under could look like for you, get in touch with us today for a free, no obligation chat to explore your options.
